Our Annual Stuff The Truck event December 7th – December 11th, and this year will be different, but is more necessary than ever!

Stuff the Truck is Jet FM’s week to give back to the Comox Valley and use the power of radio to raise cash donations for our local food bank. Last year Thrifty Foods and Jet FM raised over 45K in cash plus thousands of pounds in food and necessities – we had 72 pallets donated by our generous businesses around town! This year with Covid, things are very different – but the food bank has a need more than ever! So we will challenge all the businesses who donated last year, and many more to see if we can get to 100 pallets this year!

We’re opening up our Corporate Challenge early for anyone that wants to get in on the action ahead of December and we want to tell the Comox Valley that YOU’RE involved as soon as we can!  All who purchase a pallet now get jock talk, name mentions, Facebook Live outside of your business (so you can challenge another business or competitor), social media and we’ll add your business name to our website for Stuff The Truck! Your donation is tax deductible, and receipts will be provided post event!

What is the Pallet Challenge?

Great question!  Jeff, Andy and their teams at Thrifty Foods have received a list from the Comox Valley Food Bank that is compiled of their ‘most used’ items.  These items can include flour, toilet paper, powdered milk, canned goods, toiletries etc…basic household items that some families struggle to afford.  All of these goods are packed onto a pallet, which when fully loaded weighs 1,000lbs!

Businesses, local organizations, and private donors are invited to step up to accept our Corporate Challenge and purchase a pallet (or more) at a cost of $500 per pallet.  You can even challenge your friends or other businesses!  We’ve attached a Payment form if you wish to donate. A receipt will be mailed out to you from the Comox Valley Food Bank for tax purposes after the event.

Thank you for your generous support!!
