Police seeking suspect after liquor store robbery

COURTENAY, B.C- The RCMP are looking for a male suspect after a robbery from a liquor store on Tuesday.

According to the Comox Valley RCMP, police received a report of a robbery from Thrifty’s Liquor along Cliffe Avenue around 12:30 p.m.

“Officers quickly attended the scene, located and spoke with the victim and witnesses,” read a news release from the detachment.

“The suspect had already fled the scene. Investigators were able to obtain a picture of the suspect for identification and are being assisted by the Integrated Forensic Identification Section.”

The man is described as thin and Caucasian, around six feet tall with reddish/brown hair, scruffy facial hair, and a black hoodie with grey pants.

“Comox Valley RCMP Major Crime Unit will continue this investigation,” read the statement.

“Anyone with information is asked to call 250-338-1321 and refer to file 2018-16153.”
