Crews assigned to Black Creek power outage

BLACK CREEK, B.C- Work to get the lights back on is continuing on Vancouver Island today.

Across the Comox Valley area, most power has been restored, though there are still several small outages listed on BC Hydro’s online outage map. However, a large outage is affecting 162 people up in Black Creek.

The power has been off since yesterday evening, and a crew has been assigned. The outage is south of Iron River Road, and north east of Macaulay Road, and was caused by yesterday’s wind storm.

The crew was scheduled to arrive by 9:35 a.m. An estimated time of restoration is not known at this time.
