COURTENAY, B.C- The Puntledge River will be flowing quickly again this week.
According to BC Hydro spokesperson Stephen Watson, high water flows will be continuing in the Puntledge River due to more storms headed to the area.
The power authourity regularly adjusts the water flow from Comox Lake into the Puntledge River via their dam at the lake outlet, and Watson indicated that flows may go to 100 cubic metres per second this week, with flood risk management.
Those high flows may persist until Tuesday.
Residents of the Valley should stay away from the river while it is flowing quickly.
