COMOX, B.C. – Summer construction season is underway in Comox.

This means there will be slowdowns along one of the town’s busiest roads.

Starting this week and continuing to Sept. 20, construction crews will be upgrading road, sidewalks, and utilities along Noel Avenue, from Pritchard Road to Torrence Road.

Non-local traffic, pedestrians and cyclists are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid delays.

Local residents and service providers will see delays and single lane alternating traffic Monday to Friday, and possibly some Saturdays, between 7:00am and 6:00pm.

Emergency services will have unrestricted access through the site at all times.

Motorists, cyclists and pedestrians are encouraged to allow extra time, exercise caution and observe directions given by traffic control personnel.
