COURTENAY, B.C. –The Comox Valley is marking Canada’s 152nd birthday with a two-day party.
Courtenay Canada Day celebrations are set for Sunday and Monday at Lewis Park and downtown.
This year Courtenay’s Canada Day features performers, YANA Dunk Tank, a three storey inflatable slide, a 19 Wing glider and robot display, and a 4H petting zoo.
New this year is “Comox Valley Arts: Try It” where the public is invited to come explore a variety of art media and test skills at a DJ Booth.
Another highlight is Monday morning’s Canada Day Parade that gets going at 10:00am.
This year’s parade theme is “Canadian Threads: The Colourful Costumes of Canada”.
The parade travels along 5th Street from Menzies Avenue to Lewis Park with a fly-by at the start of the parade by 19 Wing Comox.
