19 Wing Comox will host the funeral for Sergeant Mark Salesse this weekend. The 44-year-old Sergeant was killed on a military ice climbing exercise in Alberta.
Goat News spoke with Paul Berry with Comox Valley Ground Search and Rescue who says Salesse had a home in the Comox Valley and would have made a major contribution to the volunteer rescue team.
Berry says his death represents a major blow to search and rescue services.
Military funeral services will be held at 19 Wing Comox this weekend for Sergeant Mark Salesse.
