One person is in hospital after being struck by a car yesterday evening.
The call came in around 6:00pm near Kilpatrick Avenue and 26th Street.
The BC Ambulance Service confirmed that one patient was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and was conscious and breathing.
The Comox Valley RCMP says it responded to the scene as well and is reminding residents that if you’re out driving or walking at night it’s important you’re prepared so incidents like these don’t happen.
“This collision should serve as a reminder to drivers to pay extra attention in the dark and rainy conditions often presented to us here on Vancouver Island. Additionally, a reminder to pedestrians to dress for the conditions and if you’re planning to be out walking in the dark, wear something highly visible.”
