The Comox Valley Waste Management Centre has received an award from the BC Used Oil Management Association.
The “Top Collector” is given to used oil and antifreeze return collection facilities for their exemplary performance and commitment.
It’s part of a new program launched by the organization to honour, on an annual basis, the top collectors of used oil and/or antifreeze materials in the province.
The criteria for being a Registered Collection Facility ‘Top Collector’ includes the total amount of used oil, oil filters, oil containers, antifreeze and antifreeze containers collected, the total number of years participating in BCUOMA’s RCF Program, and demonstrating continued support of BCUOMA and other recycling stewardship related programs.
