North Island College’s 10th annual Career Fair is returning to the Comox Valley next month.
More than 35 employers from across the region are expected to attend this year’s event, including lead sponsors Cermaq Canada and WorkBC.
The Career Fair brings together a diverse group of employers across many sectors of the economy, including aquaculture, food and beverage, tourism, hospitality, business and professional services.
NIC says by meeting under one roof, employers gain access to a wide pool of qualified potential candidates and job seekers. It also gives participants the chance to network with employers and even hand out copies of their resume.
NIC’s Student Employment Services advisor and organizer, Alex Bowman says the career fair is a great way to provide jobs for employers and those looking for work in a world where online applications and job-seeking seems to be more common.
To mark the 10th anniversary of the event, NIC Student Employment Services will also hand out 10 special prizes throughout the day.
The North Island College Career Fair will take place on April 1st from 11:00-3:00pm at the Florence Filberg Centre.
