Town of Comox Mayor Russ Arnott is on medical leave.
During their regular meeting last night, council approved a medical leave of absence for Mayor Arnott and appointed Councillor Ken Grant as Acting Mayor during this period.
Mayor Arnott will be unable to attend council functions and duties for an undetermined period of time due to, the town says, “an unforeseen but necessary medical procedure.”
“The Town of Comox is sending our support to Mayor Arnott and his family during this difficult time,” a town press release said.

After serving two terms as a town councillor, Arnott was elected mayor in October 2018.
