You’re going to see some delays at Goose Spit Park next week.
The Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) says it will be working to repair potholes on Hawkins Road.
Work will begin next Monday and run until Thursday.
Trenching and paving will be happening between 7:00am and 5:00pm in different locations throughout the park, starting from Hawkins Road hill through to the entrance of HMCS Quadra.
You should expect to see single lane closures with flaggers directing traffic for most repair areas.
Sections of the road near the middle of the park will need to be closed in both directions at varying times as well.
During periods when the road is closed in both directions, traffic will be detoured through the parking area in the middle of the park.
While traffic is being directed the district says the area will be closed to parking and pedestrian use to ensure the safety of park-goers.
