On June 15th, 2014 the Comox Valley RCMP were alerted to a home invasion that had just occurred at a residence on the 1900 block of Fitzgerald Avenue in Courtenay.
A lone male was inside the residence and two unknown men wearing hoodies and bandanas, that covered their faces, forced their way into the residence and assaulted the home owner.
The two men took and small amount of cash and the victim’s wallet and cell phone. An accomplice was located in a car nearby and was taken into custody and held for a court appearance.
The homeowner was taken to the hospital and later released after being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
