Break-in at Habitat for Humanity’s Comox Valley ReStore

It wasn’t the most pleasant start to the long weekend for the Habitat for Humanity Vancouver Island North’s (Habitat VIN) ReStore in the Comox Valley.

Early Friday morning, someone broke into the store, located at 1755 13th Street, Courtenay.

They attempted to break into the store’s two cash drawers, and when unsuccessful, stole the cash drawers and left.

The person then returned a second time to steal several donated items and came back a third time to steal two safes which held the organization’s petty cash, till float, and cash deposit from the previous day.
