CVRD launching Road to 2030: Community Climate Action Challenge

The Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) wants to hear your ideas on climate change.

The district is launching the Road to 2030: Comox Valley Climate Action Challenge.

Road to 2030 is a participatory challenge to support community-led climate action projects.

The goal is to advance the Regional Growth Strategy’s target of 50 percent greenhouse gas emission reductions by 2030.

“Hearing the call from young people across the globe to take action against climate change, and the CVRD Board’s declaration of climate crisis, we’ve designed Road to 2030 to catalyze local climate action and empower local individuals and organizations to help put their great ideas into motion,” explained Alana Mullaly, general manager of planning and development services.
