A three-week long construction project is set to commence in Black Creek next week.

Mainroad says crews will be replacing culverts along Highway 19A (Ocean Highway) between the Oyster River Bridge and Kelland Road. These are the small channels that allow water to flow under roads.

Starting Wednesday (April 28th) through to May 15th, crews will be on-site from 7:00 am till 5:30 pm daily. This excludes weekends.

There will be multiple work zones during this project, and Mainroad notes the road will be reduced to single-lane alternating traffic. With this in mind, up to 20-minute delays are expected.

Mainroad is now urging drivers to slow down and show respect for roadside crews during working hours.
