Courtenay bakery giving 50% of tomorrow’s profits to Child Development Association

Cobs Bread in Courtenay is marking two years in business, giving back as they celebrate.

The Driftwood Mall bakery will be handing over 50 per cent of profits made throughout the day tomorrow (Friday, July 16th) to the Comox Valley Child Development Association (CVCDA).

Cobs Bread is open from 8:00 am until 7:00 pm. Shoppers can enter to win prizes tomorrow as well, and every 10th customer will be given a free gift.

But for those who can’t shop in person, the CVCDA says online orders through Skip The Dishes or DoorDash will be included in the fundraiser.

The association — a local nonprofit supporting children, youth, and adults with diverse abilities — is now thanking Cobs for supporting the community. They note Cobs held a fundraiser for them last year as well.

The CVCDA adds, “Anytime when you shop at the local Cobs Bread, you can mention the CVCDA and they will donate 5 per cent of your purchase back to us. Just mention our name when paying.”
