Comox fire crews have partnered up with the Comox Bay Care Society to bring another AED to the Comox Valley.
AED stands for automatic external defibrillator. This one will be located on the Care A Van, which travels the Valley helping out anyone in need.
Comox Fire chief Gord Schreiner goes into the background of the move.
Schreiner adds having quick access to an AED has been proven to help save lives.

Comox Fire rescue carries AEDs on most of their emergency vehicles and they have one mounted in their fire station.
