Photo shoot set to go in campaign for valley indoor tennis centre
Just behind the Comox Rec Centre the newly formed North Island Regional Tennis Society is doing a photo shoot on the tennis courts today with 100 young kids holding tennis rackets, and on the other side a group of “experienced” gray haired tennis enthusiasts, according to organizers.
Organizer Larry Street says the the Comox Fire Department will be taking pictures with their ladder, as well as a drone will be videotaping. The idea is to raise awareness on plans for an indoor tennis facility for the Comox Valley.
The four court indoor tennis facility would be located at the Sports Centre beside G.P. Vanier School.
The grant application is for 250-thousand dollars.
