A big ceremony is taking place on Canada Day!
Former 19 Wing Base Commander Jim Benninger says the Freedom of the City Ceremonies honour our military forces.
Benninger says over 115 personnel from CFB Comox and Her Majesty’s Canadian Ship (HMCS) Quadra will be in attendance.
Just a heads up, the Freedom of the City parade and ceremony will see some road closures…on Cliffe Avenue between 8th and 11th, and 10th from England to Cliffe will be closed between 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM. For more on this and all Courtenay Centennial events, visit courtenay.ca.
