Giving back to the community. That’s what Canadian Football League legend and former BC Lions running back Cory Philpot is doing.
Philpot was recently in the Comox Valley for the Courtenay Centennial Sports Festival and Tailgate Party. He’s spearheading a program called All-Star Youth.
The program will see Philpot taking 80 kids, who would normally not get the chance to play organized sports, to Miami to give them the opportunity to play football.
