After working with the Comox Valley Regional District for over 18 years James Warren will become its Chief Administrative Officer.
The district made this announcement today, saying James has been the deputy officer since 2020 and the acting officer for the district since April 2022.
The previous administrative officer Russel Dyson retired two months ago.
District board chair Will-Cole Hamilton says the CVRD is pleased to welcome him into this role.
“The CAO position is the regional district’s lead staff person and is tasked with balancing the political interests of the Board with the organization’s operations to deliver public services,” said Col-Hamilton.
“James’ experience allows him to draw on relationships and knowledge to lead the organization and continue to deliver on its 99 services.”
The district adds that James is honored to take this role and is looking forward to continuing to serve the Comox Valley.
His new job comes into effect on Wednesday.
