Comox Valley dog licenses for new year now available

Dog licenses are now available to grab in the Comox Valley as we get closer to 2024.

The Comox Valley Regional District says the licenses are for dogs over six months old who live in Electoral Area A – Baynes Sound, area B – Lazo North, and area C – Puntledge and Black Creek.

Amanda Yasinski, Senior Manager of Building and Bylaw Compliance for the district says the licensing makes it easier to find a lost dog and bring them back home.

The district says you must call your municipal office to get a license. It costs $10 if your dog is spayed or neutered, or $25 if not. If you fail to get a license, it could lead to a $100 fine.
