Comox Valley RCMP are investigating a collision in Courtenay from this weekend.
According to Seargent Martin Neveu, the incident happened early Saturday morning when a car smashed into the bus shelter at Thrifty Foods on Cliffe Avenue. The collision resulted in a man being taken to the hospital, where he has serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Neveu says while alcohol has been ruled out, the cause behind the crash is still unknown as the investigation continues.
