Comox Valley Newcomers’ Club January Meeting

The Comox Valley Newcomers’ Club invites women who are new to our community to join our meeting on Monday, January 9 at the Florence Filberg Centre. Our social group’s monthly meetings, as well as our daily activities, bring women together to develop friendships, discover shared interests, and explore the Comox Valley.Our guest speaker is Melissa Quocksister is a member of the K’ómoks First Nation. Melissa’s interest in the Treaty process evolved from an early age through watching her grandfather begin the process for K’ómoks as elected Chief for 24 years. She is currently the owner of Quocksister Consulting, specializing in Communications and Community Engagement and has worked with many nations throughout BC since 2011.
