Lei Day

My name is John ( flowerman) Ludlow, leader of the Facebook group called “Comox Valley Social Experiment.” The group is dedicated to sharing stories of love, kindness, paying it forwards, and showing off our beautiful island.

We’re celebrating May 5th as Lei Day. 

On Lei day all group members and beyond will wear a Hawaiian Lei and commit to performing one random act of kindness to a stranger.

It could be buying a homeless person a meal or simply buying the person in line behind you their coffee that day. Real Hawaiian lei’s will be for sale that day with all proceeds from the sale going to help Lush Valley.
