Coming soon a spring theme too. I began a Facebook group this past June called Comox valley social experiment and since has garnered national attention in various news media. The group is dedicated to sharing stories of love, kindness, paying it forwards, and showing off our beautiful island. I have nearly 400 members. On my group page I have declared May 5th as Lei Day. I wear a Hawaiian lei everyday wherever I go. It is an outward expression of my absolute joy and happiness. On Lei day I want all group members and beyond to wear a Hawaiian Lei and commit to performing one random act of kindness to a stranger. It could be buying a homeless person a meal or simply buying the person in line behind you their coffee that day. I am in discussions with different flower suppliers in the valley to provide me with flowers to make real Hawaiian lei for sale that day, all proceeds from the sale will go to help Lush Valley. + Google Calendar+ iCal Export Details Date: May 5 Event Tags:Food BanksOrganizer lemon-aid Phone: 2047702504 Email: rludlow@mymts.net Website: Theflowerman.ca Venue Comox Valley United States+ Google Map Website: www.biketowork.ca/comox-valley+ Submit Event
