RV caught on fire in Cumberland today

A recreational vehicle caught on fire in Cumberland Monday.

The Village says the fire took place on a road right of way in the Union Road area in the early morning, resulting in firefighters containing the flames. As of now, the cause behind the incident is still unknown.

Even in cold weather, the fire could have spread to the surrounding forests, cemeteries, and neighbouring industrial properties.

Cumberland Fire Rescue encourages you to be cautious around fuels, chimneys, cigarettes, and other sources of fuel and heat this winter.
