Cumberland Museum and Archives receives interior upgrades

The Cumberland Museum and Archives has been improved after receiving new funding.

The project included a new accessible washroom and mechanical and electrical upgrades.

Most of the financial support came from the Y.P. Heung Foundation, but funding also came from Canadian Heritage and the provincial and local governments.

The museum and archival storage areas have also been expanded.

The museum is open from Tuesday until Saturday from 11:00 am to 4:30 pm.

The colourful history of Cumberland is showcased by the artifacts and archives within the building.

The museum aims to commemorate people who have lived in Cumberland and present the history of the area.

People can book an appointment to view the community resource library or archives by sending an email to [email protected]
