CVRD partnering with CleanBC for Municipal Top-Up Rebate Program

Homeowners in the Comox Valley will soon have a new rebate available to them.

The Comox Valley Regional District says those living in electoral areas A, B, and C, including Hornby and Denman Islands, will be able to take part in the CleanBC Municipal Top-Up Program.

The program will provide $350 for electric pumps and $500 for electrical panel upgrades to homeowners who are either finishing these upgrades or installing a heat pump.

Electoral Areas Services Committee Chair Edwin Grieve said the rebates will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

“Climate change continues to have a lasting impact on our community and it’s important to provide funding support on various electrical upgrades and heating options.”

They add the rebates support their Residential Emissions Reduction Action Plan.

Those eligible to apply for the Better Homes Rebate will be automatically assessed for top-up rebates.
