Cumberland waste water project gets green light

A huge funding shot for the downtown Cumberland area!

Village Mayor Leslie Baird says senior levels of government have come through for the community on a 2.7 million dollar major infrastructure project.

Baird says the feds will kick in 922-thousand dollars, the province has also earmarked another 922-grand, and the village will cough up 800-thousand dollars from DCC’s or Development Cost Charges.

Baird says timelines as to when the project will start, and finish have yet to be flushed out.
