UPDATE: Multiple cancellations on Departure Bay – Horseshoe Bay route

UPDATE: As of 10:11 am BC Ferries has reinstated the following sailings: 11:25 am departing Horseshoe Bay, 1:40 pm departing Departure Bay.

In a statement to Vista Radio BC Ferries says that issues with the Queen of Oak Bay’s power supply have been resolved.

BC Ferries issued a cancellation notice for some sailings between Horseshoe Bay and Departure Bay.

They say that the 9:05 departing Departure Bay the 11:25 Departing Horseshoe Bay and the 1:40 departing Departure Bay have been canceled due to a mechanical difficulty with the Queen of Oak Bay’s backup power supply.

Other sailings on this route are expected to proceed as scheduled.

If you have a booking on one of the cancelled sailings BC Ferries says that you will hear from their customer service centre and they will try to get you on another sailing later in the day.

Alternate routes to the lower mainland can be taken from Duke Point.
