Kids can enjoy classic carnival games in Courtenay for only a nickel.
The city says the Nickel Carnival is returning for 3- to 12-year-olds this year, with this year’s theme centering on jungle adventures.
The event includes carnival games, face-painting, treats and jungle-themed props.
They say for this year, they are holding the carnival in the upper level of the Native Sons Hall instead of the Lewis Centre.
Admission is $3, with $2 returned in tickets. For parents and caregivers of kids in adapted programs, you are welcome to come to the event early at 12:30 pm.
The event runs from 1:30 to 3:30 pm on July 19.
