Volunteers needed to join search for missing valley hiker

An appeal for volunteers to bolster the search for missing Courtenay hiker, 69 year old Sylvia Apps has gone out, but you need to have a certain skill set to join the effort. That from RCMP Constable Don Sinclair.

Meanwhile Goat News got the latest on the search campaign from Paul Berry, who heads up the massive operation.

So after an intensive search since last weekend, we asked Berry under what circumstances might they scale down, or suspend the search operation.

Various belongings of Apps have been recovered including her backpack, phone and jacket but her whereabouts remain a complete mystery.
