Expect a road closure next week, as the roundabout at Cumberland Road and Willemar Avenue will be paved.
The City of Courtenay says the paving will be done by Tayco Paving as part of the 2024 Willemar Avenue pedestrian, cycling, and pavement renewal capital project, which focuses on collector roads.
During construction, the roundabout will be closed, with a detour route to be in effect for you to use.
Traffic control personnel will be on site directing vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists in the area.
While the work is taking place, local traffic can enter and exit the area and access their properties.
Crews will work on August 7 and 8 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.
