Comox Valley RCMP looking for more information on assault incident

Comox Valley RCMP are looking for more information about an assault that took place in June.

Police say on June 16, a woman came to their detachment to report that she had been assaulted at her residence the night before on June 15.

According to her, she was outside closing her gate at 10:30 p.m. when a man grabbed onto her arm, resulting in the woman hitting him in the head before running to her home.

The man is described to be between 5 foot 8 and 5 foot 9 inches tall, has an average build with a scruffy beard, wearing a black hoodie with white writing.

Media Relations Officer and Constable Monika Terragni says they are committed to discovering the full circumstances of this incident.

“Our primary goal is to gather all available information to ensure a thorough and accurate investigation,” said Terragni.
