Town of Comox warns public of Death Cap mushrooms

If you’re heading out to Filberg Park, the Town of Comox wants you to be on the lookout for Death Cap Mushrooms.
The Town says the Mushrooms have been spotted near Filberg Park and are reminding the public to be vigilant and keep pets and kids at a distance.
The mushroom is extremely poisonous, leading to liver and kidney damage or even death.
Death Caps are often confused with other edible mushrooms from Asia.
They add you should never eat any mushrooms if you can’t positively identify them as an edible species.
