The BC Conservatives have found their candidate for the Comox Valley ahead of this year’s provincial election.
Brennan Day, the executive director of the Eureka Support Society, has been announced as the party’s MLA candidate for the Courtenay-Comox region.
Day said he’s going to work hard to help the Comox Valley residents and work on practical solutions.
“I’m not here to play politics, I’m committed to putting in the hard work to deliver real results.”
A 30-year resident of the Comox Valley, Day has a background in political science and international relations from Vancouver Island University and the University of Calgary.
Day is focusing on creating safer communities by making penalties tougher for repeat offenders, practical housing solutions including helping people experiencing homelessness get the help they need and overhauling the healthcare system.
BC Conservative Party leader John Rustad said he’s excited to welcome Day as the Courtenay-Comox candidate.
“Brennan’s dedication to principled conservatism and community needs aligns perfectly with our values. His experience and commitment will drive the accountability and affordability that British Columbians deserve.”
The B.C. Provincial Election is scheduled for October 19.
