More road work is set for Courtenay as Willemar Avenue gets repaved, starting Monday.
The City says crews will be repaving Willemar Avenue from the 5th Street corner to the roundabout at Cumberland Road to help build an active transportation corridor.
The corridor would connect to current and future cycling infrastructure on 5th Street, Cumberland Road, Piercy Avenue, and 1st Street.
While the work is underway, vehicle traffic will be restricted, with only local traffic allowed access.
Expect traffic control personnel to be on-site.
The work will run from August 19 to 23, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., weather-permitting.
