Wildfire near Mount Arrowsmith is being held

A wildfire discovered near Mount Arrowsmith last night is now being held.

That comes from BC Wildfire Service, saying they discovered the 1.14-hectare fire on Sunday 11 kilometers southwest of Coombs.

Two initial attack crews, one unit crew, and a Response Officer responded to the fire, with three water tenders and personnel also at the scene.

They say as of 1:33 this afternoon, the fire is being held and no evacuation orders have been issued.

The service believes it may have been caused by humans.
