An island-wide social media group is trying to make sure that people have a place for their animals to go when disaster strikes.
The Vancouver Island Emergency Animal Evacuation Network’s Panas (pann-iss) says the Facebook page finds local locations to keep exotic animals, livestock and household pets.
She says the network started after a recent scary situation, with the Port Alberni area wildfire…
Panas says if people are interested in putting their property on the list…they should get in touch with somebody on the network through Facebook.
