The town of Comox wants people to be safe and ready for a storm projected to make landfall on Tuesday on Vancouver Island.
A bomb cyclone storm is projected to make landfall Tuesday night, resulting in heavy rain and wind for many parts of the Island.
The west coast is projected to receive 100 millimeters of rain from the storm, with up to 50 in other regions on the east coast.
In the Comox Valley, winds are expected to be as high as 90 km/h on Wednesday morning.
The Town of Comox is reminding people to update their emergency kits for colder temperatures, be prepared for power outages, and be prepared for travel delays.
They also say the wind could down trees and urge everyone to prep their homes by securing loose outdoor objects and clean gutters free of debris.
The storm is expected to begin late Tuesday night in the Comox Valley and last until Wednesday.
