City looking for input on new liquor license application

You can comment on a new liquor license application for a Courtenay liquor service.

The application is for the service to accommodate a capacity of 172 people with a seasonal patio at 975 Comox Road. The service aims to operate from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sundays to Wednesdays, and from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Thursdays to Saturdays.

The City says they are looking for your feedback on this application, with the goal of getting input before they send a response to the Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch.

They say written comments need to include your name and address, and must be put in by February 3 at 4:00 p.m.

You can either mail the comments to the City’s planning division located at 830 Cliffe Avenue, or you can email it to [email protected].

The City adds the application will be considered by mayor and council on the February 12 council meeting, set at 4:00 p.m.

For more information on the application, you can visit City Hall anytime between 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.
