Tourists flocking to Comox Valley

A big boost in visitor numbers at the Vancouver Island Visitor Centre, from the number of buses stopping by the centre to the increasing number of tourists checking out the various services. We spoke with Linda Yaritz at the centre.

Yaritz says April through June were especially strong months, with a 39 percent increase from April last year, while visitor numbers shot up by 29 percent for both May and June. So where are all these tourists coming from?

Yaritz says tourist traffic has been coming in pretty much non stop for this summer season.
