BC to conduct emergency alert system test this Wednesday

Don’t be alarmed if you get an emergency alert on Wednesday, it will be a planned test for the system.

Canada’s emergency alert system will be tested this Wednesday to make sure it works during a real emergency.

Residents of BC will be getting an alert tone and message on their phone, radio, and TV. The province asks you to not do anything after getting this alert.

Test runs at 1:55 p.m.
