Courtenay residents encouraged to use alternatives as Canada Post strike looms

The City of Courtenay has mailed their 2025 Property Tax Notices. 

The city says notices were mailed on May 5, and residents must pay them by July 2 to avoid a 10 per cent penalty. 

With a potential Canada Post strike beginning May 22 however, residents are being encouraged to use alternative methods rather than through the mail. 

Residents are instead encouraged to pay online through their bank or credit union, or in person at city hall or through banks and credit unions.
