Search for Sylvia Apps to resume Saturday

The search for missing Comox Valley hiker Sylvia Apps will continue this weekend, according to Comox Valley Ground Search and Rescue.

Paul Berry with Comox Valley Ground Search and Rescue says they’ll be searching all day Saturday, with a focus on the Mount Castlecrag area, where several of Apps’ personal belongings were found during the initial search.

Berry says they’re not asking for any volunteers for now, as this search will just be SAR members.

The 69 year old apps hasn’t been seen since july 8th.
