An executed search warrant at a Courtenay residence has led to one man facing charges.
RCMP officers received reports of uttering threats on June 30, which were reported to be direct and serious and were witnessed by an officer at the scene.
Police obtained a search warrant for a residence associated with the suspect with assistance from the Emergency Response Team, crisis negotiators, police dog services, and frontline officers.
Police found four individuals inside the home, and all were arrested after the discovery of a firearm.
42-year-old Derrick Bullen is the only one facing charges of the four arrested for uttering threats, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and possession of a firearm while prohibited.
Bullen remains in custody awaiting his next court appearance.
