A logging truck crash has shut down both north and southbound lanes of the Inland Island Highway north of Courtenay near the turnoff to Mount Washington Resort. No reports of any injuries but logs have spilled onto the highway, four K’s north of the turnoff to Mount Washington. Drivers should use the Old Island Highway. Crews are in the process of clearing the highway. Detours are in place on Hamm Road and Piercy Road.
