Mount Washington athletes raising funds through weekend bottle drive

With ski season fast approaching, the Mount Washington Ski Club athletes are already in training and waiting for fresh snow to fall.

It is important to note that program fees make up only 40% of the club’s operation budget. The remainder of the funds to run the program come from sponsorship and fundraising programs.

Help start the club’s 35th year off in style!

Ski Club Athletes will be canvassing neighborhoods throughout Courtenay and Comox this Saturday (September 12th) between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm, collecting bottles to raise funds for coaching, travel and overall club operations.

Bottles and cans can be left curbside with a note for athletes as early at 8:00 am on Saturday morning.
