Today marks 14 years since the September 11th attacks.

Although the tragedy took place in the United States, the repercussions were felt around the world.

Firefighters and rescue crews worldwide remember the lives of those who were lost in the attacks.

Comox Fire Chief Gord Schreiner says the department held a moment of silence this morning.

Schreiner says the fire service is a family, and work together as one.

So today, we take a moment to come together and commemorate the lives of those lost in the tragic attacks of 14 years ago.
